Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in a steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.  – Matthew 6:19-21

GIVING OPTIONS

Money is important in the world we live. At Decatur First Nazarene we worship GOD with every aspect of our lives, which is a holistic pursuit.  Worshiping God includes joyful surrender of our financial life to GOD and his purposes in the world. The Bible teaches more about the issue of money than it does about many other topics. 

 

For followers of Jesus giving 10% of our resources as a tithe has served as a healthy measurement prescribed in scripture. 

​

Some may choose to give more, but we believe that giving 10% of what we earn serves as a starting point for followers of Jesus. Tithing is taught in the Bible and practiced by Christians throughout history. As people who follow Jesus Christ, we believe we are called to a life of ever-increasing generosity .   

Having a healthy understanding of and relationship to money is critical in living a life surrendered to Christ.

You can give at church on Sundays – giving envelopes are available.

 

You can mail your giving directly to us at the office.

You can also give online through REALM, our database system.

Check out these easy instructions on setting that up!

  • Click on Giving Online Link or CLICK HERE TO DONATE

  • Enter in gift amount and location (Tithe/offering automatic otherwise)

  • Choose “Give Once” or “Give Multiple Times”

    • If giving once, choose date to give.

    • If giving multiple times, choose regularity and dates.

    • (Optional) choose an end date for giving.

  • Click "continue".

  • Choose payment method and enter in information.

    • If paying buy credit card, please select box to contribute 3% extra to cover card fees.

    • No fees charged for ACH/Bank account giving.

  • Click on the “Give” button to confirm your gift.

 

Gifts can be adjusted any time – check your confirmation e-mail for how to set up your Realm account in D1Naz’s database system!
